The Daughters of the Immaculata recently attended the Annual Assembly of the CMSWR at the shrine of Our Lady of the Snows in Belleville, IL. There were beautiful liturgies by Cardinal Justin Rigali of Philadelphia, Bishop Peter Sartain of Joliet, and Bishop Edward Braxton of Belleville. Inspirational talks were given by Fr. Raniero Cantalamessa, OFM Cap, the preacher to the Papal Household and author of many fine books. There was an informative presentation by 2 Religious Sisters of Mercy on the use of the Internet in Religious Communities.
It was a wonderful opportunity to renew friendships and meet new friends among the dozens of communities represented. Here are a few pictorial highlights in a slide show:
